How many minutes?

20 minutes.
I busted my ass for a 20 minute visit.
I scrubbed floors and poured over paperwork and forgot to eat and sleep for long periods of time for a 20 minute nod and paper-shuffle session, which was 2 and a half hours later than expected.

And Joey McIntyre got voted off Dancing with the Stars.
Growing up I had posters of him on my wall; it's not fair.
It's the only reality show I watch, and I missed half of it for a 20 minute lightbulb inspection.

I think I hear the blender calling.

Now- now- the weekend is but ONE more day away.

Hold off until you can truly use and ENJOY that blender!!

I've had one of those weeks too and on the other side of the US- I will be joining you in that blender fest- in spirit if not in body!

;-)
Hang in there.

You work very hard! I'll bet your workplace is in a much better place now thanks to all that work.

Your boss might not have seen all the details of your recent efforts, but it was work that needed done, I'm sure.

Hurry up and sell that novel, and you can quit your job.

Hah, that's exactly what I keep telling myself, Etcher.

"just finish your book, and you won't need your crappy job."

Well, okay, I need to really START it first, but you know....

Hate to break any dreams here, but the average advance for a first novel is a measly $2000.

On the upside, if the first book is a success, and you get a contract...ding ding ding ding!

Hey Sunny - unfortunately I rarely have a full weekend off; I'm lucky to get even one of the days free! But I'll raise a glass of something non-alcoholic with you virtually tomorrow night!

True, the average advance is not enough for someone to quit their job, it's all about getting a following. Or about the extreme and unwarranted advances, like for The Historian by Kostova. That chick just got over $2 million for what my sources say is a very mediocre attempt. Ah, well, good for her I guess.
