Little Ball of Fluff!
I want a PUPPY!!!
Apparently I have masochistic tendencies; I watch Animal Planet, even tho I cannot have a dog in my current home. I would be lying if I said I didn't whimper a little when a cute little ball of fluff is shown frolicking in a yard or playing with a chew toy.
I want a pet so bad, I'm willing to forgo air conditioning in my next home if it means I can have one. (well... maybe.)
I should have a job working with animals, or at least volunteer somewhere. But if I worked at a shelter I'd take them all home. I couldn't be a foster parent for a seeing eye dog because then you have to give them up after a year to be trained. If I was a vet, I could not handle all the sick animals or the possibility of not saving one.
I simply must move to a place that has the good sense to allow pets, that's all there is to it.

I know I'm trying to convince Mark still too. Some day you'll get one.
Sigh.
When I left the Uk, I had to leave my doggie with my parents.
I miss him.
Phiff...... And then he moved over here and we had a cat that was a TOTAL b*tch.
I want my puppy back too.....
Maybe as soon as we find suitable housing of our OWN we will go out and celebrate by getting a sweet puppy.
I hope you have the same...a pet is such a JOY tohave when they love you back!

It's easy to appreciate why a landlord would choose to deny pets in their units...
Stained carpets, clawed carpets and drapes, damage to tile and wood floors, noise issues, on and on.
But people with pets live longer, so if you can get a good tenant that takes care of their pet properly, you might keep a good tenant for a long time.
Plus you can charge pet owners higher rent...
It would be nice if once you lived in a place for a year (like a probation period) you could have a pet, having proven yourself.
I had to leave my dog as well when I came to college... not only is it hard to find a place that allows pets, but I couldn't imagine Paco stuck inside all day, or not having massive fields in which to run blindly (he loves to run.) It's sad... :(
I know your pain. I've wanted a pet for years. I finally bought a condo and now i can actually get one! Jsut need the money for it :O(
I'm not the only one! Sad puppy stories from all. And I didn't even talk about Buttercup, my last dog.
::sniffle::
So the next place to move must allow pets, have a yard, and I think I'll stick with the air conditioning too. For the puppy, of course, not me. Wouldn't want him to get too hot.
