If You Or Someone You Love....
The scene takes place at the mall.
Two shoppers need a quick pick-me-up.
Shopper #1 - "Where's a good place to get a Coke?"
Shopper #2 - "Well let's see, we're near the food court. Napoli Pizza is ok, a little flat. DQ/Orange Julius is too sweet. McDonald's has the best syrup to carbonation ratio, but Chik-fil-A is a better deal. No matter how thirsty you are, don't waste your money on a drink from Panda, it's like putting a straw in a vat of syrup, the taste is so thick and sweet."
Shopper #1 - "Um, I just meant the closest place really."

I've almost completely sworn off of sugared sodas.
The only exception seems to be the fact that, for me, nothing seems to go with a "High School Special" (at a great local deli/catering place I got to) quite like a Mountain Dew. While I normally don't mind Diet versions of sodas, Diet Dew just doesn't cut it for some reason in this case.
The $5 (with a can of soda) "Special," is a heap of REAL hand-cut white meat chicken nuggets with fries in a foil lined bag with a sprinkle of seasoned salt, served with your choice of barbeque or honey mustard sauce.
I usually go with both sauces and add on another 1/4lb of nuggets to make it a "bad boy" special; and I occasionally swap out the fries for "cones," which are little fried mini balls of mashed potato with a crust.
Yes, it's probably like 4000 calories, 3000mg of Sodium and like 50 grams of fat. At least I don't get the "godfather" special or the "triple bypass" special from this place. Besides, I only go to this place like once or twice a month, and it always stretches for two meals. :D
Hey, all I said that I was swearing off of sugared soda, not all food that's horribly bad for me. Hrmm... This gives me an idea for a post.
Wow...that's precision unheard of in the soda world. Was this person a geek, cause it sounds like something we'd do.
LoL--Shopper #2 is my kind of person ( a bit self indulgent in the "know thyself" sense).
